Nathan Directs La Bohème at Lyric Theatre @ Illinois

Following last season’s Don Giovanni (a production which marked Nathan’s directing debut), Nathan returns to Lyric Theatre @ Illinois to direct Puccini’s operatic classic, La Bohème.

Featuring the students of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the production examines the joyful essence and heartbreaking realities of young passion. Through the everyday lives of the Bohemians, the opera reveals timeless truths about love and friendship, material poverty and richness of spirit. The production is conducted by Donald Schleicher, chair of the University of Illinois School of Music orchestra division.

Performances run October 25, 26, 27, & 28.
