‘Great Scott’ Nominated for 2019 Grammy Award

Great Scott, a new opera composed by Jake Heggie, has been nominated for the 2019 Grammy Award for “Best Contemporary Classical Composition.”
Nathan sings the role of Sid Taylor, the former love interest of opera singer Arden Scott (Joyce DiDonato). The Los Angeles Times praised Nathan’s performance, writing “Nathan Gunn, as Arden’s architect former boyfriend, is luxury casting.” The cast also includes the Frederica von Stade, Ailyn Pérez, and Anthony Roth Constanza. Conducted by Patrick Summers, the album was recorded during its world-premiere run at The Dallas Opera.
