This December, Nathan Gunn returns to one of his signature roles, singing Papageno in The Magic Flute at the Metropolitan Opera.
On November 9, Nathan Gunn performs as the Pirate King in a semi-staged production of The Pirates of Penzance at Krannert Center for the Arts.
Following last season’s Don Giovanni (a production which marked Nathan’s directing debut), Nathan returns to Lyric Theatre @ Illinois to direct Puccini’s operatic classic, La Bohème.
This fall Nathan and Julie Gunn bring their cabaret recital series to the University of Notre Dame (September 22), the Krannert Center (October 6), and Musco Center for the Arts (October 28). A delightful evening of music, these cabarets feature a variety of music from the American Songbook, ranging from Irving Berlin to Leonard Bernstein to Tom Waits to Pearl Jam.

On July 12, Nathan Gunn performs as Sam in a semi-staged performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti at Tanglewood. Directed by Bernstein’s daughter, Jamie Bernstein, the performance also features soprano Alexandra Silber as Dinah. Conductor Charles Prince leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
